“I actually never lived in Islington, but as a student at City I loved the mix of things to do (and places to eat!), the vibrancy of the history and the beautiful areas like Highbury, where I spent a lot of time working on my reporting portfolio.”

Jessica O'Neill

Jessica O’Neill

Jessica O’Neill first moved to Islington from her home town in Canada. She currently lives in Hackney. Jessica helped organise the Islington Faces Live event (Oct 2014) while interning at the King’s Head Theatre.

“As an outsider it’s interesting to get to see a new community and to find out about the hidden underside of an area. It would usually take a decade to discover the characters you profile on Islington Faces, helping organise the show is a quicker way!”

Here’s Jessica’s experience of living and working in Islington in an interview.
